AI: The New Wave

I wanted to do a piece talking about the emergence of AI technology and what it means for your business. Yes, people are concerned that AI will turn into Skynet and launch a nuclear war to claim the world for machines; but those concerns are based on the misconception of what AI actually is.

What is AI? Essentially AI is what's called Large Language Models (LLMs) which is just a fancy way of saying a big database of information. AI programs are coded to interpret these massive databases and use that interpretation to serve the user (you).

If I ask AI what the best way to grow a martial art school is, it will examine every piece of martial art information in its database and give a neat summary of what it views as the most important pieces of information. That's it. It's not "thinking" for itself, it's just a program designed to give the user what it asks for.

Remember when the internet first came out, I don't but I know it revolutionized the way we communicated and interacted with the world. AI is the new internet. It is the new wave of technology that is changing the way we interact with the world.

So don't be scared of it and don't get left behind! Start thinking about how you can integrate AI with your business.
